Brenda Jane Donley

Schroon Lake; Brenda Jane (Lehmann) Donley, 76, passed away peacefully at her home with her family on Tuesday June 28, 2016 after a long courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Medford, MA.on August 30, 1939, the second daughter of the late John and Verna Kehoe Lehmann of Reading, MA and Kennebunk, ME. She grew up in Reading, MA and graduated from Reading High School in 1957. In 1960 she graduated from Lawrence Memorial School of Nursing as a registered nurse specializing in obstetrics and gynecology.
She married on June 18, 1961 and is survived by her husband Edward Donley of Schroon Lake. She is also survived by her sister Janice Holloway of Fredericksburg, VA and her three children, Linda Bradford of Kerhonkson, NY, Diana Cannon of Geneseo, NY and Steven Donley of Essex, VT; grandchildren, Julie Bradford, Dustin Bradford, John Cannon, Elliot Cannon, Daniel Cannon, Kyle DellaGrotta, Kayla DellaGrotta and Kevin Donley.
Brenda worked as a nurse at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford, MA, and Bellveue Woman's Hospital in Schenectady, NY. She lived in Latham, NY for 23 years before retiring to Schroon Lake.
Brenda was an active member of the Schroon Lake Community Church, Schroon Lake Senior Citizens Inc., The Schroon Lake Fish and Game Club, Red Hats Society and formerly with the Seagle Music Colony Guild.
A memorial service celebrating Brenda's life will be held Saturday July 23rd at 11:00 AM at the Schroon Lake, Community Church. Internment of her remains will take place with close friends and family on Friday July 22nd at 2:30 PM at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
