Paul Provancha Obituary
Schroon Lake, Paul D. Provoncha, 81, passed away Wednesday December 11, 2013 at the Albany Medical Center Hospital.
Paul was born August 8, 1932 in Blue Ridge, NY, the son of the late Alvin (Lee) and Vera Ford Provoncha.
Paul was predeceased by his son Paul R. Provoncha Sept. 16, 2011, and his infant brother Joseph.
Paul was a graduate of Schroon Lake Central School. He was the Post Master at the Schroon Lake Post Office. He retired in 1992 after 25 years of service.
Paul served from 1952 to 1956 in the United State Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Frances DeZalia Provoncha of Schroon Lake, his daughters Debra (Denis) Ford of Warrensburg, Mary (Steve) Neander of Clifton Park and Jennifer Provoncha of the Bronx, his daughter-in-law Heather Provoncha of Schroon Lake, his Grandchildren Andrew Ford of Warrensburg, Jessie (Christopher)Needham of Warrensburg and Paul N. Provoncha of Schroon Lake, His brother Alvin (Shirley) Provoncha of North Hudson and his sister Rita (John) Palmer of Schroon Lake, several brothers and sisters-in law and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
A funeral mass was celebrated Saturday December 14, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Schroon Lake. Interment will take place in the Schroon River Catholic Cemetery.
There were no visiting hours.
The family suggests that memorials take the form of donations to the charity of one's choice.
