Newcomb, NY, Dorothy A. Bush 82 passed away Sunday August 19, 2018 at the Glens Falls Hospital after an extended illness.
Dorothy was born May, 17 1936 in Piercefield, NY the daughter of the late Mendoza and Madeline Gonyea Benware.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 53 years Theodore "Ted" Bush, her son Randy Bush, her brothers Lester (Scotty) and Walter and her sister Theresa Payrot.
Dorothy was one of eight children. She grew up in Piercefield and went to school in Tupper Lake.
Dorothy loved to read, cook and knit. She always had the greatest privilege to be able to stay home and raise her family.
Survivors include her son Ted and two daughters Kelly Turcotte and Pamela Bush, her brothers Louis (Sonny) of Tupper Lake, Arthur of Evan Mills, Kenneth of Texas and Roy (Blacky) of Piercefield, her grandchildren, Nicole, Hanna, Rachel, Mindy, Ethan & Alan, plus two great grandchildren, Kylie and Jayden and many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy requested that there be no calling hours or funeral service. There will be a graveside service at Saint Therese Catholic Cemetery in Newcomb, NY Thursday August 23, 2018 at 1:00 PM.
Dorothy suggested that in lieu of flowers memorials take the form of donations to the Newcomb Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary, Newcomb, NY 12852.
