Michael Colleary Obituary
Schroon Lake; Michael J. Colleary, 80, passed away at his home Sunday afternoon August 2, 2015, with his loving wife by his side.
Michael was born February 3, 1935 in New York City, NY the son of the late Michael H. and Nora O'Brien Colleary.
Michael was employed as a stationary engineer for Helmsley and Spear, Inc in New York City for 22 years, retiring due to a disability. He moved to Schroon Lake in 1984.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and a member of the Schroon Lake Senior Citizens Inc. He enjoyed painting ceramic figurines and collecting Hummels and taking Hummel trips as well as traveling in general when he was able.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Madeline J. Colleary of Schroon Lake and many nieces, nephews and very good friends.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Friday August 7, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Schroon Lake. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery.
Michael requested there be no calling hours.
It was Michael's wish that memorials take the form of donations to the Schroon Lake Emergency Squad, Schroon Lake, NY 12870.
