Alice S. Duncan

Newcomb; Alice S. Duncan 97, passed away Tuesday August 29, 2017 at the Adirondack Tri County Nursing Home in North Creek, NY.
Alice was born February 5, 1920 in North Tarrytown, NY, the daughter of the late Louis and Alice Morrison Schnieder.
Alice was also predeceased by her husband John H. Duncan and her brothers, Henry and James Schnieder.
Alice worked with her husband in their Oil business and later as a public hostess at Blue Mt. Lake Museum. Alice was a member of the Newcomb United Methodist Church and the Newcomb Volunteer Fire Department ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, jig saw puzzles, dogs and cats and her flowers.
Survivors include her daughter Suzann Stith of Newcomb, her granddaughters Heather Crittenden of Bremerton Wa. and Bridget Stith of Newcomb, her great grandchildren Tristan and Ceagan and her very dear friend Ruth Ann Bunnell of Newcomb and several great nieces and nephews.
Alice requested there be no visiting hours and that she be interred next to John at the Gerald H. B. Solomon National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY.
A memorial funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday September.2, 2017 at the Newcomb United Methodist Church, Rt. 28N Newcomb NY.
The family suggests memorials take the form of donations to the Newcomb Volunteer Fire Dept and Rescue Squad or the Newcomb United Methodist Church, Newcomb NY, 12852.
