North Hudson: Cynthia, “Cindy” (DeZalia) Wilson passed away on November 21, 2023, and she will be deeply missed.
Cindy was born May 12, 1962, in Ticonderoga, NY, the daughter of the late James DeZalia and Virgina Milligan DeZalia Kugler.
Cindy is survived by her husband John, her twin sons, Nathan and Lucas, her mother Virginia Kugler, her brothers, James (Diane) DeZalia, Michael (Judith) DeZalia, Craig (Valerie) DeZalia, and her sister Angela DeZalia-Diacovo.
Cindy recently retired from the NY State Department of Corrections after 30 years of service and was looking forward to retirement and the next 30 years of enjoyment.
She loved living in the Adirondacks and spent as much time as possible being outdoors, hiking, skiing, or just walking in nature, many times accompanied by her beautiful 4-legged boy, Jack.
Other broken hearts from Cindy’s passing include her amazing and large extended family and circle of friends. As everyone knows from speaking with her, her greatest love and pride were shown in her face when she was talking about her sons.
A funeral mass will be celebrated by Father Christopher Looby Monday morning November 27, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Main Street in Schroon Lake.
Calling hours will be held Sunday afternoon November 26, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Edward L. Kelly Funeral Home 1019 Us Rt. 9 Schroon Lake.
The family suggests memorials for Cindy, take the form of donations to one’s charity of choice.
