Earl C Miner

North Creek, Earl C. Miner Jr. 70, passed away early Thursday morning Jan. 7, 2021, after an extended illness.

Earl was born Dec. 07, 1950, in Chester, Vt, the son of the late Earl C. and Ruby B. (Berg) Miner Sr. and he was raised in Newcomb, NY. He graduated from Newcomb Central School in 1969.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Carl and his step-sister Ethel DeLoriea of Corinth.

Earl was a veteran of the Vietnam war having served in the US Air Force from 1970 to 1973 and was honorably discharged with the rank of SGT.

He attended college on a military grant where he got his bachelor's in Telecommunications. He spent a good deal of his time in Algonquin IL. and eventually moved back to Pottersville, NY.

When he wasn’t working, he spent his free time hunting, fishing, and hiking the backwoods.

Earl had no children and is survived by his sister Linda Miner of North Creek, N.Y., his brothers Mark Miner of Newcomb, NY and Gene Miner of Santee, Ca., three half-sisters, Nancy Brannon, Ellen Mix, and Alma Fisher all of Salamanca, NY, along with lots of nieces and nephews and friends.

A graveside service for Earl and Carl will be held in the spring at the Newcomb Cemetery.

The family suggests that memorials take the form of donations to the Johnsburg Rescue Squad, North Creek, NY 12853.
