Olmstedville: Florencetta B. Savarie, 91 of Olmstedville, passed away peacefully at her home Monday, November 27, 2023.
Affectionately known to her friends and family as Floss, she was born to Ed and Grace West Brannon on July 31, 1932. She was the oldest of three children. She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers Jim and Bill, and her husband Robert Savarie whom she married on August 30, 1952.
Floss and Bob owned and operated Board-n-Batten Antiques out of their home in Olmstedville and also were member dealers at Glenwood Manor in Queensbury and the Stagecoach in Potterville. They were active in community functions and were members of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Olmstedville.
Floss is survived by her 6 children, Mary (Savarie) Hall, Beth (Savarie) Allen, Chris Savarie, (Patty), Joseph Savarie (Patti), Ruth (Savarie) Olbert (David), and Thomas Savarie (Mandy), several grandchildren, great-grandchildren nieces, and nephews.
