Schroon Lake: Jeffrey M. Armstrong, 62 passed away suddenly on February 15, 2023, while doing what he loved in the woods.
Jeff was born February 3, 1961, in Ticonderoga, NY, the son of the late Richard C. and Suzanne (Tyrrell) Armstrong Sr. He was a graduate of Schroon Lake Central School and worked as a logger all of his adult Life.
Jeff was passionate about the outdoors: hunting, fishing, trapping, and hiking, and was an excellent woodsman. Jeff was a loving Husband, Father, and “Grampy” and loved to share his knowledge and stories of his many hunting and fishing excursions over the years. Everyone knew he preferred the outdoors over social gatherings. He was a member of the ARMDOC Fish and Game Club in Newcomb, NY.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 41 years, Tina (Foster) Armstrong, his daughters, Jessica (Bill) Graves, Melissa (Michael) Armstrong, and Rebecca Armstrong, his son Jeffery (Kara) Armstrong, his four grandchildren, Kason, Kaelyn, Liam, and Lilly, his brother Richard C. (Bridget) Armstrong Jr., his sisters Jennifer (Joseph) Cross, and Tina (Kenneth) Helms, and his many aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
At Jeff’s request, there will be no public services. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The family requests memorials take the form of donations to the National Wild Turkey Federation, 770, Augusta Road, Edgefield, SC, 29824.
