Joan C. Richards

Schroon Lake; Joan C. Richards, passed away Monday June 26, 2017 at the Essex Center in Elizabethtown, NY.
Joan was born February 15, 1934 in Yonkers, NY the daughter of the late William J. and Claire Furman Duffy. Joan married John "Jack" Richards November 5, 1955 and they resided in Newark and later Vineland New Jersey until moving to Schroon Lake in 1984. Jack passed away December 12, 2006.
Joan belonged to the Schroon Lake Association, The Schroon-North Hudson Historical Society, and was active at the Seagle Music Colony Guild. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Joan is survived by several cousins and her close friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday morning July 5, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Schroon Lake. Interment will follow at the Severance Cemetery.
