Madeline Maddie Colleary

Madeline “Maddie” Colleary (ne'e Cervini) passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025, at the age of 91 at Waveny Care Center in New Canaan, Connecticut.

Born in the Bronx, NY, Maddie was the daughter of Virginia and Joseph Cervini. She graduated from St. Mary’s and Cathedral High School and went on to work at New York Life Insurance Company in Manhattan, where she served as a supervisor met her beloved husband, Michael Colleary. The couple later moved to Schroon Lake, NY, where Maddie became a cherished member of the local community.

A devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Maddie was known for her love of Hummel figurines---collected over years of Travel in Europe----- and her sharp, dry sense of humor. In her later years, she was often seen with her loyal cat, Mickey, always at her side.

She was predeceased by her husband, Michael Colleary, and her siblings, Marie Parrett. John Cervini, Virginia “Honey” Euell, Grace Petinato, Dorothy Cervini, and Theresa Serrilli. Many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends survive her.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Schroon Lake, NY. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery, Hoffman Road, Schroon Lake, NY.

Maddie will be lovingly remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the joy she brought to all who knew her.
