Patricia Joan Harris

Schroon Lake: Patricia (Patty) Joan Harris, 61, passed away suddenly in her home in Schroon Lake on the morning of October 1, 2021. We take solace in knowing her passing was quick and without suffering, and that she was with close friends at the time.

Patricia was born April 18, 1960, in Crown Point, NY, Patty was the 7th child of 9 born to the late William H. Green and Joan M (Gonyo) Walker. She is also predeceased by her first husband Thomas Harris, second husband David Dimick, siblings Wanda Green and Kevin Green, as well as her beloved dog Abby.

Patty held many roles throughout her life. She was a mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, wife, widow, and friend, among other things. She loved unconditionally and would do anything for her loved ones, especially her children and grandchildren. Those who knew her will remember Patty as being one of the most resilient individuals they’ve ever met. She was known for her quick wit, sharp tongue, and uncanny ability to make light of even the darkest and most dreary situations. As hard as she was on the exterior, she loved harder and took pride in caring for those around her – she truly had a heart of gold.

Patty is survived by her son Bryan Harris, daughter-in-law Ashley, and granddaughter Elliana; her eldest daughter Nicole and grandchildren Alexander, Madison, Hunter, and Aedan; her youngest daughter Kylie; siblings Randy, Doug, Cyndy, Jack, Tim, and Bonnie; as well as many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and brother and sisters-in-law – all of which she cherished.

A memorial service for family and friends will be held Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at the Edward L. Kelly Funeral Home 1019 US Rt.9, Schroon Lake, NY. There will be a reception for close family and friends following the service at the Minerva Community Center.
