Patricia "Patti" Mather

Minerva, Patricia “Patti” Mather, passed away Sunday morning October 13, 2019 surrounded by her devoted family, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Patricia was born November 5, 1952 the eldest daughter of the late Thomas and Elaine (Duntley) McNally and was a lifelong resident of Minerva, where she was a long time volunteer for many civic organizations.

Patti and her late husband Alan (1996) raised five loving sons, Michael (Andrea) of Garner, NC, Greg (Tina) of Colonie, NY, Jason (Amy) of Raleigh, NC. Jeff (Mary) of Swansboro, NC. and Justin of Angier, NC. Patti was Grammy of 15 adoring grandchildren and the loving caregiver of her two cats Percy and Coasette.

Patti is also survived by her siblings Mike (and the Late Maggie) McNally, Joanne (Vernon) Jenks, Stephen (Bonnie) McNally, Dawn (Jack) Green, and Brad (Debbie) McNally. She was known as Aunt Pat to her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, whom she loved dearly.

Our mom was truly an inspiration to all who knew her, and will be eternally loved.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12:30 PM Friday October 18, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Olmstedville. Interment will follow in the Minerva Baptist Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Friday from 10:30 until 12:30.   

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorials can take the form of donations to: Minerva Youth Program, 5 Morse Memorial Highway, Minerva, NY 12851, where she was a former director and lifelong supporter of this amazing organization.

Those attending the services are invited to join the family in a celebration of Patti’s life at the Minerva community center following the grave side service.
