Roderick Stowell Obituary

Schroon Lake: Roderick S. Stowell passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021. He was born to the late Basil and Eva (Jordan) Stowell of Schroon Lake. He went to Schroon Lake Central School. He served in the US Air force from 1952-1956 and married Dorothy Trombley on May 11, 1963.

Rod worked road construction including the Adirondack Northway for many years before retiring with his wife. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Roderick is predeceased by his beloved daughters Sandra and Sally Stowell, his sister Georgiana, as well as many friends.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy, daughters Brenda (Francis) McCray, Cathy (Patrick) Shaughnessy, his grandchildren, Saige and Harper Shaughnessy, Keith (Julia) Groshans, Frankie (Mindy) McCray, Brandi McCray, Tabitha (Kyle) Wright, Savannah (Michael) McCray, Madison and Keegan McCray, his great-grandchildren, Ryland, Mason, Abigail, Emma, Jayda, Jaxson, Maverick, Branson, and Kallum, and many nieces and nephews.

At Roderick’s request, there will be no funeral service or calling hours.
