Stacey Schraver Obituary

Johnsburg; Stacey Michael Schraver, 58, of Johnsburg, NY passed away Wednesday, July 16th, 2025 as the result of an auto accident in his 1970 Pontiac Lemans.

He was an avid outdoorsman, loved riding vintage snowmobiles with his brothers at their camp in Blue Mountain Lake, some of the best times he ever had. He loved having his sister Kim over at our house to just hang out, laugh and have fun. He was a magnet to animals, they all loved him, dogs, cats, deer, woodchucks, birds, turkeys, bears (his favorite bear was Benny Bella Boo Bear). He enjoyed nature and taking his dog, Gibby (His shadow) for rides in his truck and boat, Gibby went to work with him every day he could & took a daily walk to visit Connie and her dog Maizie on their “neighborhood watch” as we called it. He was an amazing cook and could grill a steak to perfection.

He missed his father and adored his mother; he did his best to take care of her. There was never a doubt of his love for Josette; he would have moved mountains for her. They spent 35 years in love and now it will be forever. They did it all together! He never left the house without a kiss and always told her how beautiful she was and how much he loved her! He cared deeply for his family, especially his son Josh, he was so proud of him and loved spending time with him, they were extremely close, he would have done anything for him and Allie. He loved him heart and soul. He met his stepson Tim and his wife Kayla 5 years ago and his grandson Caden whom he met in May at his 1st birthday party, they immediately had his heart. Not everyone understands the bond between identical twins, he and his twin brother Tracey were each other’s world, they were inseparable, they worked together & spoke daily even if by phone, they had each other’s back always, it is love like no other.

Tracey and Stacey started their construction business together in 2005, he was a hard worker and didn’t care about money, only doing a quality job which they did very well. If you saw the houses they built together you would be amazed. Prior to that he worked for American Tree Company, he loved tree work & the Stranahan family. He was great at what he did.
He always had a smile, was genuine, humble, kind, caring and had a heart of pure gold, ask anyone! He had to many close friends to list but you know who you are, he loved you all and if you knew him, you loved him! He truly enjoyed helping others, never wanting anything in return.

He finally bought a vintage car that he worked hard to get, a 1970 Pontiac Lemans, he was so happy when he brought it home, he loved it, it was a beautiful car, he drove it to heaven with him. That will be a wild ride up there. Heaven only takes the best Stacey, you’ve certainly earned your wings. You will be missed always but we will carry you in our hearts.
No goodbye babe, just rest easy until we get there, I love you lots & Lots—Jo.
