Timothy O. Swinton

Schroon lake, Timothy O. Swinton, 73, passed away Tuesday February 18, 2025 at his home with his family at his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Tim was born may 5, 1951, in Glens Falls, NY, as the eldest son to Elsie and Gerald Swinton. He is predeceased by his wife of 45 years Christine Swinton, his father Gerald Swinton and mother Elsie Swinton as well as his sisters Sally Kennedy and Belle Armstrong and his brother David Swinton. Tim was a graduate of Schroon Lake Central School. Tim worked as a logger and truck driver in his early years before his career as a school bus driver for the Schroon Lake Central School District where he retired after 20 years. He enjoyed spending his time in his garden and watching NASCAR and shows and books on history, particularly involving the civil war, both of which he was able to travel and see events and locations with his wife. Survivors include his daughter Jennifer Darque of Indianapolis Indiana, his son of Schroon Lake NY, Sister Bonnie Hughes of Brant Lake and brother Randy Swinton of Schroon Lake as well as many nieces, nephews. Per Tim’s request there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
