Obituary
Schroon Lake, Virginia L Cerrone 80, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, August 27, 2022. She was born April 15, 1942, in Herkimer, NY, the daughter of the late Emerson and Nellie (Bala) Waller.
She lived in Amsterdam most of her life. She was a homemaker and mother of 10. Those left to cherish her memory are her children: sons, Joseph Cerrone III, twins, Stephen and Scott Marotta, Timothy Cerrone, and Jeremy Kowal, daughters, Robin Rivenburg, Christine Boutell, Antoinette Bestvia, Melissa Gero, and Colleen Blodget, many grand and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Virginia was loved by many. Throughout her life she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, talking on the phone, listening to music, garage sales, watching her favorite shows and making people laugh.
The family thanks everyone who took care of Virginia, the Glens Falls Hospital, Hudson Headwaters of Schroon Lake, Jeremy and Donna Kowal, Marcos Guillen, William Utter Jr., and Teresa Utter and her best friend Joan Syzdek in her times of need. We are profoundly grateful to them.
Family and friends are invited to gather at 5:00 PM Tuesday, September 6th at the Gloversville Moose Lodge #351, 140 E. State Street Ext. Gloversville, NY 12078 to share memories of Virginia.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials take the form of donations to the Schroon Lake Emergency Squad, Schroon Lake, NY 12870.
