North Hudson: Virginia M. (Milligan, DeZalia) Kugler passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Thursday, September 19, 2024.
Ginny was born August 7, 1932, in Corinth, the daughter of the late Fred and Pearl (Duell) Milligan. She was one of 15 children.
Ginny was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is predeceased by her first husband of 32 years, James B. DeZalia (August 24, 1985), her second husband of 6 years, Robert Kugler (July 25, 2003), and her daughter Cynthia Wilson (November 21, 2023).
Ginny proudly served as Postmaster of North Hudson for 30 years, where she resided with her family. After her retirement, she remained very active in volunteer work and other part-time work, spreading her smile and sense of purpose. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Schroon Lake. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her beloved family.
She is survived by her children, Angela DeZalia-Diacovo of Alplaus, NY, Craig (Valerie) DeZalia of Schroon Lake, Michael (Judy) DeZalia of Schroon Lake, and James (Diane) DeZalia of Clifton Park; her son-in-law John Wilson of North Hudson; her sisters Rita DeZalia of Severance and June Festa of Lake Park, Fl.; stepdaughter Liz (Don) Modder; and an abundance of loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
A mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Schroon Lake on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in the Schroon River Cemetery North Hudson NY.
At Ginny’s request, there will be no calling hours.
The family requests memorials take the form of donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, the National Kidney Foundation, or the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
