Olmstedville; William "Bill" Gardner, 68, passed away suddenly on May 6th, 2016 at home. Originally from Glens Falls, Bill attended Queensbury High School, graduating in 1966. He worked as a salesman for IBM in Poughkeepsie for 25 years, earning numerous company awards through the years for his success. In his retirement years, Bill found a new calling in Emergency Medical Services, and again, found success as he earned two separate EMT of the year awards as he worked with several squads around his home area. Bill loved the outdoors, and spent much of his free time fishing, hunting and sight-seeing throughout the Northeast.
Bill also enjoyed visiting his family in Las Vegas, and is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, William and Kristin, of Henderson, Nevada; his granddaughter, Finley, grandson, Liam; and his brother Doug.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday June 30, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Olmstedville, NY. A graveside service will take place at 1:30 PM at St. Pauls' Cemetery in Hudson Falls.
